Sand Cider Festival Success for 8th year running!

A regular supporter of the Sand Cider Festival at Ashgrove Farm, Barny and his team have been providing marquees and furniture hire for this family festival since it began.
It’s the go-to event of the summer in Somerset, where the focus of the festival is the traditional Old Jollop Premium Cider served in the beautiful candle-lit orchards of the farm. It doesn’t get any more local than this. The cider is brewed in Somerset on the grounds of Ashgrove Farm and guests could try all the different varieties on the day.
There were several brilliant live musical acts including Nick Parker and The False Alarms, JukeBox and Head Noise. You could also find a great selection of pop-up food stands, wellness activities, children’s activities, and even cooking demos. The performers were fantastic and created a great atmosphere for the crowds as they looked on drinking Somerset ciders and beers with friends and family. There was a large bonfire and fire pits, and a huge Barny Lee Marquee was set up in case it rained. The family event, included a barbecue, a hog roast and all the ingredients used, such as cheese and pickles, were either produced on the farm or from local farmers from the Somerset area. And what’s more a donation of the profits from the festival each year is made to the Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance.
